Language Arts
Spelling
We will be finishing Unit 5 and starting Unit 6 this month. The lists are attached on the English documents page. Each Monday students should bring home a list of words.
Spelling tests are given every Friday.

Reading
Students should continue to read 20 minutes at home.
Math
We will be continuing fractions and starting decimals this month. Please practice with your student at home.
Social Studies
Parents, we are beginning to practice our "Utah, This is the Place" music. Students who wanted a line received a couple weeks ago. Please practice these lines with them at home, they need to be memorized. If your student would like to practice singing at home, here is a youtube link to the songs with lyrics.

Science
This month, we will first learn about physical characteristics of Utah's deserts. Students are expected to be able to describe common plants and animals found in Utah deserts. Then, we will learn about classification. Students are expected to be able to classify animals and plants. To help kids to be well prepared for the unit test, please encourage kids to answer key questions listed both on the homework and on the science blog page.
